In November 2021, the spark of A4P Supps ignited during a post-jiu jitsu training session, as our group of dedicated athletes gathered around the mats for some well-deserved relaxation. Among us were individuals preparing for upcoming MMA fights, jiu jitsu matches, and a Judo tournament. Despite the diversity of our sports, our shared goal was crystal clear: victory. We were all driven by the relentless pursuit of a competitive edge, seeking any advantage to propel us toward success.
As our conversation drifted towards the topic of supplementation, it became apparent that we were all navigating the same struggles. Many of us relied on subpar protein supplements and excessively caffeinated pre-workouts, products geared towards bodybuilding and general fitness goals rather than the specific needs of combat athletes. It was a frustrating cycle of underdosing and overdosing, attempting to find the elusive perfect balance to enhance our performance on the mat or in the ring.
Even extensive online searches for "supplements for combat athletes" only led to endless forums where fellow fighters shared their makeshift concoctions, rather than a reliable source for tailored solutions. It dawned on me that there was a glaring gap in the market – a lack of supplements designed specifically for combat athletes, and no convenient platform offering a comprehensive array of options.
Driven by this realization and fueled by hours of research and introspection, I resolved to fill this void. Thus, A4P Supps was born, with a mission to simplify the process of obtaining high-quality, purpose-built supplements for combat athletes. The idea behind
For two years, my training partners and I embarked on a journey akin to mad scientists, procuring bulk ingredients to concoct our own blends. We had a clear vision of what we wanted, but sought refinement. We discovered that simplicity reigns supreme, especially in a sport that induces such intense adrenaline rushes. Throughout those two years, the fruits of our labor began to show. My comrades triumphed in multiple MMA bouts, jiu jitsu matches, and judo competitions.
As for myself, in 2022, I immersed myself in the competitive circuit, participating in 18 jiu jitsu tournaments, two judo divisions, and a professional grappling super fight. The results were astounding. I clinched first place in 15 out of 18 jiu jitsu tournaments and secured second place in the remaining three. Both judo divisions saw me atop the podium. Furthermore, I emerged victorious in my debut professional grappling match.
The journey left me in awe of the potential of my body and the achievements of my companions. Thus, in September 2023, I made the decision to brand these supplements, refining our formulations and making them available online to share with the world.
